Rotating equipment wears - gearboxes, seals, shafts, impellers and bearings. Severe-service valves need trim, seats and seals. That's not a failure of the equipment; it's how it's designed to be maintained.
One mixing installation we supplied roughly ten years ago is still supported with spare parts every year. That's the relationship we're actually selling.
