George Grant Company is a manufacturers’ representative for industrial instrumentation and process equipment in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. Our active focus is chemicals and petrochemicals, RNG / landfill gas / biogas, and the EPC and integrator firms that specify those plants. We also support data-center utility plants, EV battery and manufacturing campuses, pharma and food process, and federal / DOE balance-of-plant work when the application matches our line card.
We are not a municipal water or wastewater specialist. Several of our key lines cannot be sold into municipal water or wastewater utilities. Landfill-gas, RNG, and biogas projects are not affected by those restrictions.
We work in plants where the process is difficult and the consequences of getting it wrong are real. Corrosive and abrasive media. Classified areas. High temperatures, tight tolerances, and flows that standard instruments can't measure.
Across these industries, the pattern is the same: our customers call us when the easy answer already failed - and they keep calling us for years afterward, because we don't disappear once the order ships.
Chemicals, Petrochemicals & Specialty Polymers
The core of what we do. Blending and polymer slurry, reactor and process temperature, severe-service and bottom-outlet valves, tank farms and vapor recovery, cooling and process water, classified-area protection. This is our spine account base and the work we protect first.
Our customers include some of the largest integrated chemical sites in North America, and several have worked with us for more than fifteen years - ordering spares, replacements and expansions continuously.
Pulp, Paper & Packaging
A single mill touches nearly everything we carry: stock and pulp chest agitation, chemical make-down, black liquor and abrasive service valves, solids-handling pumps, white and green liquor flow, lime kiln and recovery boiler combustion air, NCG systems, and H₂S and TRS detection.
We supply kraft mills in our territory today, including recurring flame arrestor and spare parts programs on tank vapor and NCG systems.
Food, Beverage & Pharmaceutical
Mixing and blending from portable units through high-shear and inline systems, sanitary pumps, process temperature, and flow measurement. We've supported production sites for over a decade - one mixing installation we supplied roughly ten years ago is still supported with spare parts every year.
RNG, Landfill Gas & Biogas
A dedicated practice. This is our primary growth practice. Coverage includes private, county-owned, and authority-owned landfills and upgrading plants. Municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment plants are a different market and are restricted on several lines; landfill-gas-to-RNG is not.
EPC Firms & System Integrators
We work through EPCs and packagers as well as end users. One specification in an engineering package can follow into a chemical plant, an RNG skid, or a campus utility plant. If you are an EPC or integrator specifying in our territory, start with us on flow, tank protection, severe-service valves, mixers, gas detection, and gas quality.
Federal, DOE & Utility
Balance-of-plant instrumentation and equipment for federal sites, national laboratories, and utility generation. We have supplied flow measurement scope to national security and laboratory facilities in East Tennessee and to major utility and construction partners.
We are a certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBENC and State of Tennessee), which supports supplier diversity requirements for federal primes and large corporate buyers.
We supply balance-of-plant scope. Utility here means industrial and generation balance-of-plant — flow, detection, vents, mixers — not municipal distribution or treatment plants.
Data Centers & Manufacturing Campuses
Central utility plant flow and thermal transfer - chilled water, condenser water, makeup water, generator combustion air, and heat exchangers. We've standardized flow measurement across large campus utility plants, including AI data center cooling loops and EV manufacturing sites.
FAQ
Where is George Grant Company’s territory?
Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. Some manufacturer agreements also cover Mississippi and Arkansas. Confirm line by line.
Do you sell into municipal water and wastewater?
Not as a focus. Several key lines, including some flow and mixing products, are restricted for municipal water and wastewater utilities. Ask us before assuming a municipal quote is possible.
Do those restrictions apply to landfill gas and RNG?
No. Landfill-gas, RNG, and biogas projects are an active practice for us, including flame arresters, gas flow, gas detection, enclosure purge, and gas-quality analyzers.
Who should call you?
Plant engineers, reliability and project teams, and EPC / integrator specifiers who need application help and a quote in our territory. Email sales@georgegrantco.com or call 423-875-3241.
